Austin Labor Day Cup

Now in its eighth year, the Austin Labor Day Cup soccer tournament is now a NIKE Premier Event.

The tournament represents a terrific opportunity for coaches to prepare their teams for their various fall seasons and to evaluate new players and teams against a pretty high level of competition.

Teams of all competitive levels are invited and divided into one of four flights - Premier, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Organizers make every attempt to fill each competitive level to ensure that every team is properly placed.

Awards are presented to Champions and Finalist in each flight. All teams play "round robin" within their bracket with advancement games except for groups with less than 6 teams. Those groups receive awards based solely on their round robin results.

U10 teams play four 8v8 games on half-sized fields and every player receives a participation award.

This is a "stay to play" tournament, which means that visiting teams are required to stay in hotels that are approved by the tournament organizers as a condition of participation. This may require merely booking rooms at one of the designated hotels, or it may require booking them specifically through the tournament's own designated housing service.
