Virginian Soccer Tournament
Now in its 37th year, the Virginian is one of the largest youth soccer tournaments on the east coast with over 600 teams participating from 28 US states, and as far a field as Canada and Germany. The tournament offers four divisions of play, the most competitive of these being the "Virginian Cup" division for for State Cup Champions or Finalists, and top select teams from each state in the U12-U19 age groups. This year, the tournament is under the direction of a new Tournament Director, Dotty Talbott. Participating teams will see many new and exciting changes while the event holds on to many Virginian Soccer Tournament traditions.
Other changes include a new three-game format, each team receiving an official tournament game ball, and teams now being allowed up to five guest players. Ongoing Virginian traditions include the four levels of play, high quality fields, trophies and championship shirts and athletic trainers at most of the sites. This tournament has a reputation for being one of the most professionally run youth soccer events in the country and offers teams a chance to enjoy a great soccer experience just minutes from the Nation's Capital.

This may require merely booking rooms at one of the designated hotels, or it may require booking them specifically through the tournament's own designated housing service. Check the tournament website for full details.
