United World Games

The United World Games is a multi-sport international festival that takes place in Klaganfurt, Austria, on the banks of Lake Woerthersee. It hasnow grown into one of the most successful youth sporting events in Europe.

4,000 athletes from all around the world will enjoy the international spirit of the Games, which have become the ideal venue to celebrate the end of the season or simply enjoy a fun-packed training camp, while competing with teams from all around the world.

Like so many of these international sporting festivals, the attraction is as much the cultural experience as the sporting one.

In addition to the competition, there is Players Town, where are numerous social events are planned, form a Medieval Knights Dinner to a players party and World Fun Games, not to mention an "Olympic-style" opening ceremony.

Klagenfurt itself is a beautiful historic town nestled in the Austian Alps that offers plenty for visiting soccer families to do. From taking a trip across Lake Woerthersee on a 1920's steamer ship, to visiting to Minimundus, a minitiature world of famous buidings from around the world. You are even close enough to the Italian border to take a trip to Venice.
