Summer Sting

The Summer Sting is a preseason premier and classic tournament that is hosted by the South Shore Stingray Soccer Club in Plymouth, MA. All games are played at a single location: Forges Field in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

The tournament is open to boys and girls teams in the U10 through U17 age groups with two competition levels within each age group - a Premier Division for premier and highly competitive travel teams and a Classic Division for competitive travel, city/town clubs and recreational teams.

Older teams (U12-U17) play a minimum of three 11v11 games in a round robin format, with semifinals and finals on Sunday afternoon for teams that advance out of group play. U10-U11 teams play a minimum of four 8v8 games - 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday - and receive participation medals.

Historic Plymouth is considered the birthplace of America and offers visitors from all over the world a chance to experience part of the country's early history, as well as New England's seasonal charm. It's the home of Plymouth Rock, a full-size replica the Mayflower and Plimoth Plantation.
