Soccer Logos Designed for Your Soccer Tournament
Website Offers Great Soccer Logo Design ServiceAs you can imagine, we see a lot of soccer logos for the tournaments we have listed. Some are terrific, some not so much, but every soccer tournament should have a great soccer logo. It will help to build your brand, help you sell merchandise, and it will pay for itself may times over, if it's done right.
Here's a great way to get a cheap logo design for your soccer tournament. But first let's define exactly what is meant by a great logo. Obviously, it's a subjective call.
A great logo should be a visual representation of your tournament's main selling points. So if your tournament is held in a beautiful location by the ocean, like the Cape Cod Challenge Cup maybe a soccer ball with waves or lighthouses would be a good fit.
If your tournament's main selling point is the high level of competition it offers, then perhaps an image of a player doing a bicycle kick would best illustrate that.
Remember, your logo should be equally at home on a website, a tri-fold flyer, a newspaper ad and a t-shirt, so a long, narrow one, might not be the ideal shape for all those uses.
All wording should also be clear and easy to read, so don't get too funky with a font that you have to strain your eyes to make out, and allow plenty of color contrast when placing text over a background image. Purple text over a navy blue background will not be easy on the eye particularly if it gets reproduced in black and white.
If you're looking for a professionally designed tournament logo, and don't want to break the bank by hiring a professional design firm, you might want to check out a terrific website we recently came across called logotournament.com.
As the name suggests, the site actually creates a contest between designers from around the world who will compete for your business by submitting their logos. You, as the client, get to select which logo is the winner and you pay just for that design, at a price you set right from the outset.
Here's how it works: First, you log into the site and set up the basic parameters of your logo such as the name of the tournament, the target audience, and the style, concept and preferred colors of the design. The whole process takes less than five minutes.
You then set a prize for the contest, which has to be at least $250, but can be more if you want to attract the highest quality designers. (A $250 prize will typically attract 30-35 entries from very good designers from all around the world). You have to set the prize in advance and secure it with a credit card.
Then you set a length for the contest of either five or seven days, depending on the urgency of your project. Then all you have to do is wait for the designs to come in. For a typical contest, most of the entries won't come in until the last couple of days. If you don't find what you are looking for in that given time period, you can do a free extension togive designers more time to enter.
Once the contest is over, you can go through the entries and pick a winner. The prize you set at the beginning of the contest then is passed on to the winning designer and the rights to the logo are transferred to you.
We've worked with a number of designers over the years, and have to say, the work here is good. And at $250 the price is a steal. You only need to sell a few dozen extra t-shirts to more than cover the cost of a winning logo.
