Scorpion Bowl

 Scorpion Bowl Logo Now in its fifth year, the Scorpion Bowl soccer tournament is a preseason event that takes place over two weekends in March.

It is hosted by the Scorpions Soccer Club, one of New England's premier club teams and is one of the highest-rated soccer tournaments in the region.

Play takes place on turf surfaces, which virtually guarantees play even during early springtime in Massachusetts.

The tournament has attracted as many as 180 teams from over 50 different clubs in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Canada.

This event takes place over two weekends and at two locations, Braintree and Lancaster, which are a little over an hour's drive apart.

Places to Stay in the Area

This is a "stay to play" tournament, which means that visiting teams are required to stay in hotels that are approved by the tournament organizers as a condition of participation. This may require merely booking rooms at one of the designated hotels, or it may require booking them specifically through the tournament's own designated housing service.
