Hammond Mayors Cup

Although the Mayor's Cup 3vs3 soccer tournament is relatively new (this being the 3rd year) the competition level has been surprisingly good since day one.

The inaugural event took place in 2008 with just 21 teams participating. But by the following year, the number of teams had grown to 50.

The goal is to provide an affordable means for young players to participate in organized soccer.

Thanks to the continued support of Hammond's Mayor Thomas M. McDermott Jr., organizers have been able to keep registration fees low, with a $50 registration fee being significantly lower than most 3v3 soccer tournaments around the country.

Organizers hope the event will grow even bigger this summer.
