Good Competition, Good But Inconsistent Refs

I would grade this tournament a 4.5 out of 5. The only reason that I am not giving a 5 is because the referees at last year's tournament were not consistent in their calls from game to game.

The tournament had some great competition for my rec. team, and helped my team become a more physical team after this tournament. My rec. team actually played much better as a team after this tournament against some of the better teams in our Rec. Division.

Normally, people complain about the referees, but I think that Lubbock has some of the better ones I've encountered (even if they miss some offside calls...hehe). I can honestly say that the referees were not the reason that we got eliminated, which is hard to say at some soccer games.

I liked the way they were not biased against out of town teams and didn't try to get the Lubbock teams eliminated in the Pool Play.
