Easter Cup
The Easter Cup (formerly known as the Holland Easter Classic) is one of the largest youth soccer tournaments in Europe. Up to 200 teams from as many as 12 different countries typically attend the event. Games are played at several different locations in Amsterdam and the surrounding towns of Haarlem, Heemstede, Velsen, IJmuiden and Zwanenburg.
Besides soccer, a trip to Amsterdam offers visiting soccer families ample opportunity for sightseeing. These might include a trip to a cheese and clog factory, the Rijks Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, a boat tour of Amsterdam's canals and a tour of Ajax Stadium and museum. Don't forget the European soccer season is still in full swing at this time of year, so you might even get to see Ajax play.
