Capital Fall Classic

The Capital Fall Classic is hosted by the Richmond Strikers Soccer Club, the same club that has hosted the Jefferson Cup for the past 32 years. While the Fall Classic enjoys nowhere near the stature of its older “sister tournament”, it has grown over the years and is now regarded as one of top end-of-season tournaments in Virginia.

The tournament typically attracts upwards of 300 travel teams from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond, many attracted by the fact that all premier division age-group winners are guaranteed acceptance into the following year's Jefferson Cup.

This year's event will be the first soccer tournament at SportsQuest soccer complex that features all 17 synthetic turf fields.

With outstanding competition and quality fields the Fall Classic is not only an outstanding end-of-season tournament but also a terrific preparation for College Showcase events that are held later in November and December.

Places to Stay in the Area

This is a "stay to play" tournament, which means that visiting teams are required to stay in hotels that are approved by the tournament organizers as a condition of participation. This may require merely booking rooms at one of the designated hotels, or it may require booking them specifically through the tournament's own designated housing service.
