Ahwatukee Foothills Soccer Fest

Since its inception in 2004, the Ahwatukee Foothills Soccer Fest has grown into one of the most popular youth soccer tournaments in Arizona.

Up to 200 teams typically attend, most coming from Arizona, but as many as a quarter traveling in from nearby California. With that many teams, tournament organizers pride themselves on their ability to build balanced brackets that match teams according to their level of play.

Most of the 340 or so games are played at either Pecos Park in Ahwatukee or at the Tempe Sports Complex, which offer high quality fields and a convenient location in the southern suburbs of Phoenix.

Besides soccer, there is plenty to do in the suurounding area with a skate park, tennis and basketball courts at Tecos Park, a movie theater less than 2 miles away, and Wild Horse Resort and Rawhide just around the corner from the fields.

Places to Stay in the Area

This is a "stay to play" tournament, which means that visiting teams are required to stay in hotels that are approved by the tournament organizers as a condition of participation. This may require merely booking rooms at one of the designated hotels, or it may require booking them specifically through the tournament's own designated housing service.
