Tournament Could Bring Millions to Ohio City
US Youth Regionals to be held in Beavercreek in 2010

The US Youth Soccer Region II Championships will be held in Beavercreek, Ohio next year with the potential to bring the city millions of dollars, according to the Dayton Business Journal.
The games will take place at the John Ankeney Soccer Complex with the round-robin portion of the event kicking off June 26. The semifinals begin June 29, with the tournament ending June 30.
The national championships will be held in Overland Park, Kan., from July 21-25.
According to the Dayton Business Journal, similar tournaments have brought millions of dollars to the Dayton area in years past, including the Adidas Warrior Soccer Tournament, which hauled in an estimated $7.5 million to the region this year with more than 20,000 players, coaches and spectators flooding the area/
The Region II (Midwest) Championships are part of the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series, which provides college coaches a chance to scout top players from across the country. This year, more than 600 coaches attended the regional championships.
