The Virginian

Now in its 32nd year, the Virginian Soccer Tournament is one of the largest on the east coast with over 600 teams participating from 28 US states, and as far a field as Canada and Germany.

Four games are guaranteed. Each age group offers 4 divisions/levels of play, the top one being the "Virginian Cup" division for for State Cup Champions or Finalists, and top select teams from each state in the U12-U19 age groups.

The tournament has a weather insurance policy that will refund your full application fee if the event is cancelled in full. The Virginian has a reputation for being one of the most professionally run tournaments in the country and offers teams a chance to enjoy a great soccer experience just minutes from the Nation's Capital.

Places to Stay in Springfield

Due to past difficulties with securing rooms for the tournament over the busy Memorial Day weekend, the organizers have instituted a policy requiring all out-of-area teams to reserve their housing through Certified Travel Associates, the Virginian's official housing agency. Teams that secure lodging outside of Certified Travel Associates will not be accepted to the tournament.
