Illinois is a popular state to visit, with Chicago featuring, among other things, Millennium Park, which is situated on the banks of Lake Michigan. Of course, other famous landmarks the city boasts include the Sears Tower as well as the House of Blues, which represents the city?s vibrant music scene. Don?t miss out on a river cruise either.
If you fancy taking in some live sport, then Chicago has much to offer. The Chicago Fire play their soccer in a brand-new, purpose-built stadium in Bridgeview, having previously used Soldier Field, home of the NFL?s Bears. Meanwhile, if the small ball is more to your liking, take your pick from US Cellular Field, home of the White Sox, and the Cubs? picturesque Wrigley Field.
Take a trip outside the metropolitan area and you will discover a state that is rich in cultural diversity. From the Amish in the south to the trail of Lewis and Clark out west and the legendary Route 66, which cuts a path through its center, Illinois is truly a state worth paying a visit to.
