Now in its 9th year, the Slush Cup has the distinction of being the "largest indoor soccer tournament in Canada."

Over 400 teams from all over Western Canada attended last year's event, some traveling from as far away as the North West Territories, Yukon, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

Eight indoor venues (20 indoor fields) are used to host games including the three main soccer centers in Edmonton, the Sherwood Park Millennium Center, the Spruce Grove Tri-Leisure Center, the Fort Sask DOW Centennial Center, the Leduc Rec Center and the Servus Credit Union Center in St. Albert.

All participtaing teams are guaranteed at least three games.
