San Marino Cup

While not one the largest youth soccer tournaments in Europe, the San Marino Cup is certainly one of the most picturesque. 65 teams from 15 different nations typically attend the tournament that takes place in the tiny mountainous Republic of San Marino, which is part of northeastern Italy.

A minimum of four ames are guaranteed for each participating team, on fields in the surrounding towns of Rimini, Riccione, VillaVerucchio and, of course, San Marino.

Besides competing in the tournament, there are lots of things to do in the area, including the Adriatic beaches of Rimini, the cultural wonders of Venice, or a tour of the San Siro in Milan. There are also a couple of amusement parks in the are, the "Aquafan" and the "Oltremare".

The tournament also has an Olympic-style opening ceremony, a prize giving ceremony, a tournament disco and a coaches exhibition game, among other recreational activities.
