Real Colorado Cup

This will be the 17th year for the Real Colorado Cup, which has become the largest competitive soccer tournament in Colorado.

Taking place over Memorial Day Weekend, the event attract teams from all over the US. Last year, 325 teams played, from 16 states, and organizers expect the numbers to be just as good this year.

Every team is guaranteed at least 4 games. Out of state teams can expect to play starting Friday night with local teams starting Thursday night. All championships are played on Monday, as well as some semi-finals and consolation games.

All games are played at three fabulous complexes - Dick's Sporting Goods Park, the largest professional soccer complex in the world, home of the CO Rapids MLS team, with 23 full size, fully-lit grass fields, where pool play and all championships will be held on Mon. 5/25; Aurora Sports Complex-- home of the 2005 Far West Regional competition, 18 full sized grass fields; and Dove Valley -- 9 full size, beautiful grass fields located across from the Denver Broncos Complex. All complexes are within a 25 minute drive of each other.

The registration fee includes 15 tickets to the Colorado Rapids MLS game being played on Saturday night of the tournament.

Places to Stay in the Area

This is a "stay to play" tournament, which means that visiting teams are required to stay in hotels that are approved by the tournament organizers as a condition of participation. This may require merely booking rooms at one of the designated hotels, or it may require booking them specifically through the tournament's own designated housing service.
