Applications are now being accepted for the 2007 National Cup VI Regionals
With the New Year almost here, the kick-off of the 2007 National Cup VI is that much closer. Applications are now being accepted for the regionals, which commence on Memorial Day weekend and run through July 4th.
Boys and Girls' U12-U17 teams will contest the regionals with the winners of each event advancing to the 2007 national finals in Greensboro, NC in late July, where they will compete to win a national championship and to hoist the Doug Hamilton Memorial Cup.
Last year over one thousand teams registered to take part in the tournament. Included in that number were Pennsylvania Premier Alliance and they will be back this year at the Pittsgrove, NJ, regional.
"We went to New Jersey last year and we were very pleased to see that most age groups had a Super Group and a Premier division," said PPA Director and Erie Admirals Soccer Operations Manager, Pedro Argaez.
"The number of teams in the competition was incredible. That's exactly what our teams were looking for to try and excel at the highest level."
