National Cup Regionals Return To Boise
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The 2008 National Cup VII Regionals will return to Boise, Idaho for the fifth consecutive year, US Club Soccer announced this week.
From July 5-8, 2008, the Boise Capital Soccer Club will host Boys and Girls U11-U17 teams at the Pacific Northwest Regional, or Region G.
“We are thrilled to bring our National Cup Regionals back to Boise as its fields are some of the best in the country,” Leo Garcia, US Club Soccer’s Director of Events, said in a statement “Our Pacific Northwest National Cup participants enjoy both the on-field competition and off-field hospitality that Boise offers.”
Previously announced 2008 National Cup VII Regionals on the West Coast will take place in Modesto, Calif. on June 14-17 for the Boys’ competition and June 21-24 for the Girls’ event, and in San Bernardino, Calif. on June 21-24 for both genders. Applications for all three West Coast Regional venues are being accepted online.
In total, eight sites spread across the country will host regionals. Boys and Girls U11-U17 teams will contest the 2008 National Cup VII while regional champions will be crowned in Boys and Girls U11-U17 age groups, but only the victorious Boys and Girls U13-U17 teams from each Regional will advance to the Finals, whose location will be announced soon.
