Milan Cup Draws International Teams
Event Slated to Pump $2.5 Million into Local Economy

CLEVELAND – About 130 teams from all around the globe will descend on Lost Nation Sports Park in Willoughby, OH for the 2009 AC Milan Continental Cup.
The July tournament is held over July 4 weekend and is one of the fastest growing international youth soccer tournaments in the nation.
The even has grown from 36 teams in its inaugural year in 2006 to over 100 in 2008. Staff from this year’s event estimate that the 130 teams expected will generate pump $2.5 million into the Greater Cleveland economy
The Continental Cup will feature clubs from Brazil, Canada, China, India, Mexico, South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago.
The AC Milan Continental Cup is for U9-U19 clubs and it’s held by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. This year’s event is from July 2-5.
