"For several years, we have been exploring holding a National Cup Regional in Texas and are excited to bring this event to fruition," Chris Baer, US Club Soccer’s Central Membership Services Representative, said in a statement. "In our discussions with Texas clubs as well as clubs from surrounding states, we have received a very pleasing response to holding a Regional in Dallas."
"I am thrilled about the US Club Soccer National Cup Regional coming to North Texas in June of 2008," said Ed Puskarich, the Director of Coaching at Texas Football Club. We at TFC are excited about the Regional event and are looking forward to the competition."
