The most prominent Connecticut soccer tournament for adults takes place at the Oakwood Sports Center, where the Men's Open Prize Tournament takes place in January. The Men's and Women's Pro/Collegiate/Club Indoor Soccer Tournaments also take place at Oakwood. These, events are of course, both held indoors.

The Nutmeg State Games in August also has an adult division, though it's officially classed at Over 19, which means you might want to think twice about entering your over-40 team of huffers and puffers.

For visiting soccer lovers, the New England Revolution are nearby, and several prominent college programs are right there, including Division 1 powerhouses, UConn, Central Connecticut State and Yale, and Rentschler Field in Hartford often hosts US Men's and Women's National team games.

Traditionally a popular vacation destination in the summer months, the Nutmeg State offers plenty for visiting soccer teams to do, with cities like Hartford, Fairfield and Mystic being especially popular attractions. Click here for more information.
