Chesapeake Cup Icebreaker Invitational
The Chesapeake Ice Breaker Invitational soccer tournament offers Classic and Premier teams from U9 to U19 a chacne to compete with other teams from throughout the region and beyond. Many clubs in the Southeast have enjoyed the the tournament over the years, and "snowbird" teams from the northeast often make the trek down south to get their first real soccer action of the season. March in Southeastern Virginia offers mild days and cool nights, and the beauty of the spring foliage and the many attractions of historic Hampton Roads makes the trip an enjoyable one well beyond the confines of the soccer field. Since this tournament is one of the more popular ones on the east coast at this time of year, organizers recommend that interested teams register early to avoid disappointment.

Places to Stay in the Area
This is not a "stay to play" tournament, which means that visiting teams can search around for the best hotel deals they can find. The tournament website has a good selection, or you could try checking out GTA Hotels.com, which offers terrific discount deals on a number of hotels in the area. Simply click on the link, plug in the tournament dates and location and a selection of the best deals in town will come up.
We encourage visitors to submit independent reviews of the tournaments they've played in, the hotels they've stayed at and the places they've visited in the area.
