Cape Express Beach Blast

Now in its eighth year, the Cape Express Beach Blast is a two-day beach soccer tournament that is hosted by the Cape Express Soccer Club and sponsored by Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Water Parks, who also run a very successful beach lacrosse tournaments at the same location later in the summer.

It has Divisions for boys and girls teams U-8 to U-18, men’s and women’s open and an over 30 division.

In addition to the soccer tournament, youth teams receive 10 wristbands for entry to Morey’s Piers Amusement Rides, Ocean Oasis and Raging Waters beachfront waterparks. Discounted entry to the Amusement Rides and both waterparks is also available for the families directly through Morey’s Piers.

The event takes place on the expansive beaches of Wildwood, NJ with soccer, beach and waterparks during the day and Wildwood’s famous Boardwalk and Amusements at night! There is also a Saturday night picnic.

While the official entry deadline in not until May 2, organizers expect the tournament to be 99% full by the end of March so be sure to plan ahead.

Places to Stay in Wildwood

This is not a "stay to play" tournament, which means that visiting teams can search around for the best hotel deals they can find. Some area hotels you might want to consider include: the Days Inn Suites, the Jolly Roger Motel, the Knolls Resort Motel, the Port Royal Hotel and the White Star Motel.

Be aware, though, that this is a big tournament in a fairly small town at a time of year when hotel rooms are at a premium. You will need to book early if you want to stay in Wildwood, or otherwise stay in nearby towns like Ocean City or Cape May.
